All we have

Contributed by Dreama on Monday, 6th October 2003 @ 10:02:28 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

After thinking that I had it pretty clear
I begin to wonder what it's all about.
All I have is what I was taught here,
My mind begins to question and doubt.

I know facts, I know places,
Things that I have been shown and told.
But looking into people's faces,
Makes me wonder about knowledge of old.

For so much has happened, so much is to come,
And so much is going on right now.
But we only experience as a single, one,
Is this all 'god' will allow?

I'm not having a dig, at all those who believe
That life has a big plan, and a reason to be.
I'm just trying to urge others to conceive
Of another belief, another view to see.

Perhaps we are all supposed to be here now,
But if we are, then why?
I've tried to come up with reasons. How?
I don't know, you give it a try!

The explainations I have are as follows:
Life is all about the choices we are given,
Experiencing consequences means the soul grows
And the learning is the point of living!

But while we are here, the world keeps turning;
New choices every moment gives the illusion
That we have some control over this life of learning,
But it's often so small it adds to confusion.

So all we can do is continue, exist, wait,
And keep making the choices that teach us.
Each second is like a new lesson, great!
But to what end will all this learning get us?

great write....

THIS life is a schooling for what will become
how we do in this one we will act in that one.
God placed us on this earth to have fellowship with him.but sin entered in and some have forgotten him....
now the ones who have saught him
the ones who care
will find him more and know he is here..
we go out and tell others about him
and hope they will see
that god loves them and has a plan for them
in eternity ..
but many dont listen
many dont care
they make their choices
which he gave to give
but once we die
i hope they made them for him....

A great poem..of many good questions. But we never stop learning.People say to go through life with your eyes open,I live mine with them closed, but keep my mind open.I seem to see more by listening.I wont rave on about my beliefs, but I do believe something greater awaits us. *smiles*
