Please do not mention,
It's time for retrenchin',
We spent too much dough,
It's time to go slow.
Did you need your coat?
Did you need your dress?
For that matter, shoes?
To go with the rest?
Your hat and your hose,
Your these and your those,
Your flash and your dash,
Your ribbons and bows?
Spare me your sorrow,
Like these's no tomorrow,
Like we have a billion,
Or even a million.
O.K. You've got me,
So let us now see,
I needed no tape,
and I needed no cape.
Before I head south,
You've got a big mouth,
Besides which, you haug,
You're only a dog.
