Just A Friend

she is just a friend,
yet so much more.
In my mind, I can see forever
with her.
My deepest thoughts are to hold her,
to cherish her every smile,
to live within her thoughts and
experience her every emotion.
I would sacrifice my world,
if only,
for one brief moment,
I could hear her say "I love you".
I am willing to disregard my humanity,
just to feel the warm touch of her lips
against my own.
Understand that these are just my thoughts.
She is just a friend and that is what
I must always expect her to be.
