I'll always be happy I had you
And I'm sure I'll always miss you
At least the you you used to be
I'll always look back on it and smile
'Cause you and me, we went the mile
That was the way it used to be
I'll never forget the memories
I loved the way you needed me
I'd do it all over again
I'll never wish it turned out different
Or that to me you were never sent
And I'm glad I let you in
It hurts right now but I'll be okay
I wouldn't have it any other way
I wouldn't change a thing
I'm gonna let you go
Even though I thought it would never end
I can't go on, I simply can't pretend
But I loved every moment
And I'll never look back
I'm glad I got to have you in my life
It's time to say goodbye tonight
It's been over for some time now
I guess he was right, it just can't last
The good times are all in the past
I understand it's right somehow
It's fate, I know, and I'll move on
It hurts in a way like it's already gone
Like a whisper upon the wind
It was special and it was great
Something I'll always appreciate
So I'l hold on to it within
I'll never forget it was you who got me through
You showed me so much I needed you to
I'm no less who I am
Just 'cause I'm without you
You made me special and I always will be
You were there when I needed you to be
It was worth every second
I have no regrets
