The Way

Contributed by reason on Friday, 3rd October 2003 @ 12:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Time a go I found a way,
Long and dirty, filled with rain,
You’re the one, who brought me there,
You’re the one, who got me scared.

Slipping, falling there I was
Going down that road alone.
All the questions that arose
Never bound to answer.

When I thought I’m almost there,
You’re the one who pushed me farer.
I was walking now again
With the tears that made it harder.

Now we’re standing face to face,
With no gap between us.
It seems as you’re looking at my face
With a different feeling.

Those who’re standing behind me
With a finger pointed at me.
Those who’re laughing behind me
Without a clear thought what I can be,
Are the one’s who you choose
To be your judges for free.
Your choice is your way,
So are you coming with me…?

I've re-read this poem 3 times now. My 1st impression was "This is a VERY strong person". After the 3rd time I read it, the impression remained. I have a feeling that despite the sadness, you have steel threaded through your spine.
Excellent write
