Every day I’m living
In a smiling false disguise
But you know I’m different
You see it in my eyes
And from the look upon your face
I see you’re not impressed;
I’m a great little actor
Until I get undressed
Cause then you’ll see the scars
I try to keep unseen
The scars upon my body
That remind me where I’ve been
Another secret
I keep out of sight
Is I cut myself
Nearly every night
I may not be sweet
I may not be kind
And I may be slightly
Unstable of mind
But you say I’m selfish
And I have to ask, why?
You must be selfish
If you won’t let me die
Do you feel guilty?
Do you feel bad?
Do you really want to know
Why I was sad?
I bet you don’t
But if you feel like me
Come join me and we’ll rest for
