in a world where no one knows you
i want to make you proud
i yearn for recognition
to stand out from the crowd...
in a land thats full of strangers
in a place thats full of pain
i long to make you happy
to see you smile again...
in a city full of caution
wary of who's who
i know that we can make it
but its got to be as two...
in a town thats not forgiving
where trust is hard to earn
where recklessness is frowned upon
i know that we can learn...
in a street, thats oh so quiet
where no one speaks at all
where neighbours would ignore you
if they heard your dying call...
to a house thats always happy
filled with laughter, free to roam
where love is always welcomed
to this place that i call home...

"in a world where no one knows you"...I know that place!! Have been there a few times in my life. "where neighbours would ignore you
if they heard your dying call..." and sadly I have been here too. So I really understand this poem.. |
