The Meaning of Life

Contributed by Desi on Thursday, 2nd October 2003 @ 03:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

As the sun sets on another day,
I'm watching my life fade away.
I'm so glad its almost done,
But really its only just begun.
My teens years are already troubling,
I forsee my problems doubling.
I think my life is not worth it,
Although my friends say I'm full of *****.
I don't care what they say,
They can all just hope and pray,
Hope and pray that my life doesn't come to an end.
There are so many rules to bend.
If any do break,
I just drowned myself in the lake.
Who cares if I die?
People say they do, but its all a lie.
My time has come, and now I go,
Into the deep waters below.
Now I am dead,
Who cares what you said?
What are you going to do now?
Bring me back?
But how?
These powers you lack.
See you all in hell,
Because thats where I fell.

Yeah truly good for your first rhyming poem. Does that mean you will be writing more rhyming ones? If so I will be sure to check them out. All the best.
Emma.

I liked this a lot rhyming is harder but it adds more to the poem if it fits. The only line that was a bit awkward was 'I just drowned myself in the lake.' other than that everything was great. I loved this great poem.
