Memories Forbidden Return
Buried someplace beneath year old dusty veils, a doll lies upon her shelf
It’s there you’ll find her broken past, amongst recollected failures of oneself.
Concealed somewhere atop silent spoken whispers, a broken promise freely floats
It’s there you’ll find the damaged heart, amidst a echoes hollowed mistaken devote.
Secluded someplace outside rugged barren walls, a contented world goes unexplored
It’s there you’ll find the crumbled future, amongst a remembrances unwilling detour.
Hidden somewhere within tear-streaked blackened night, a delicate candle burns
It’s there you’ll find my shattered soul, amidst a memories forbidden return.

"Secluded someplace outside rugged barren walls, a contented world goes unexplored

These two lines are absolute genius! Rings so true of the condition of society at present. All happily ignorant in their petty mechanics of so called "life" and not willing to take a chance and explore higher truths. Well done! I have enjoyed most of your peoms. |
