lifes not fair

They laugh, they joke
I feel like I'm about to choke
All these words coming at me
I don’t get why they laugh at me.

Burning like dried bark from the ground
Innocent in its sound
My mind aches with the burning,
My stomach flips, it’s turning.

Life’s not fair.
But they don’t care.
No one does
“life’s not a buzz.

T hurts so much
When they poke, when they touch.
An emotionless doll, breakable and fragile
Why do I feel so vile?

When they’re the ones that are vile,
Making me feel so sad and fragile.
Life’s not fair.
Life’s not fair.

I did nothing wrong, I swear.
Life just isn’t fair.
I just wanna cry,
Roll into a ball and die.

Rumors and gossip, about everything I am
Terrible I feel. They don’t give a damn
As long as they’re laughing, smiling in the end,
Why can’t I be gone? be hidden?

Life’s not fair, but they don’t care.
Pulling my clothes, pulling my hair.
Calling me absurd names,
Who’s the one to blame.

I can’t take it anymore!
I don’t want any more.
Life’s not fair, they don’t care.
They’re far yet so near.

They look at me, they just don’t know
How the blood in my veins flow.
Wondering if they’d laugh if they were dead
A bullet through each of their own heads.

Life’s not fair,
Why would they care
They’ll never forget though
They’ll never forget though.

Arg. I have mixed feelings about school shootings. On one hand, the bastards should have known what was coming. On the other hand, killing innocents makes you the bastard. I think just a good brawl O' doom would settle things... or vandalization if you're just too puny. Whatever the case, nice write.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
