Water Falls
By David Howlett
The waterfalls are rushing,
I should be hushing,
Nature eats the greens,
That sprouts from the beans,
Always watching wondering,
Always going wandering,
I can’t be withheld,
It’s my destiny,
Always on the top,
Looking down below,
Knowing what is going on,
And noticing the show,
Nature always looking on,
Evolving before my eyes,
What was then a tadpole,
Is now a frog,
I notice all the valleys,
Filled with greens,
Flowers and plants,
Oh it makes me feel so merry,
I notice all the bunnies,
And all the foxes chasing them,
And the bears stalking the fish in the river,
This earth is so wondrous,
Who could ask for more?
Phrase 2
I seek some thought towards evolution,
I think there will be no more,
Since this earth is so perfect,
Who could ask for more?
I notice that it’s changing,
I notice it is free,
But life is going on,
And mammals face extinction,
I notice I’m a mammal,
But that is far away,
I hope I see more of this,
Exploring the earth is fine,
No need for extra pleasure,
When this is all ok,
So I need to think of something good,
Or something really great,
I have to notice wolves’ cries to the full moon,
The cornstalks ever-growing on,
The hawks and the eagles all get along,
And I am left here,
Noticing it all,
Now I notice I won’t get real far,
But I will have to notice it for all time,
Noticing the way the sun shines,
I hope that I get to see my life,
Play before me in this eternal grace,
And notice the mountains,
And the river’s grace,
I must seek what I have found,
For all eternity the sun will shine,
and the moon will glow,
And that’s when I’ll know,
I have to see better things,
With the wind I flow away,
But are born once again,
You only get one chance in life,
But that’s enough for me.
