Without Hope

Contributed by SinfullyTwisted on Tuesday, 30th September 2003 @ 03:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Blank eyes, and frozen touch
How can I envy them so much?
Blind tears, and falling rain
The sweet, aching, endless pain
The fire I cannot outshine
The bleeding I will never staunch
The open part of me I hide

Cold heart, and whispered dreams
Grabbing hold of tearing seams
Broken promises, tainted kiss
The beginning of the end like this
The shadow standing in the dark
The noose tightening ‘round my neck
The voices tearing me apart
The part of me I can’t forget

Bound forever, spirit and soul
Until we wither, and grow old
Until we are dead and born again
Now and forever, bound to pretend
Bound to hide in secrecy
Bound to veil this part of me
Bound to swallow down this hate
To give up a gift I cannot take

Great write! I really like this...striking imagery touched my heart, but never get disappointed, my friend. Soon there will be fireflies illuminating your way...stay well!
