Long past the silver,
Long past the shine,
Long past the glitter,
Yet, you’re still mine.
Long past the wants,
And needs of the young,
Long past our infancy,
Yet you’re still fun.
Long past the trials,
The years we learn,
Long past our adolescence,
Our love’s still firm.
The eons of years,
Have come and gone,
A multitude of places,
We’ve called our own.
The years together,
Our bodies been worn.
But never our love,
Has been torn.
Twenty-nine of these,
Is a few days away.
May there be twenty-nine more,
Is what I pray.
