I sit In my room,
I look around,
everything's quiet.
Except for the tv,
running in the background,
and the sound
of my sisters
faint laugh,
as I write this poem.
The fan is blowing
against my hair and skin,
and the crickets are
cherping loudly outside my window.
It's dark outside,
and the wind is
gently blowing.
I watch out the window,
and as I do,
I see the trees outside,
gently sway
from side to side,
and with every
sway a leaf falls,
to the ground,
gently blowing in circles,
on the ground,
as a crazy cat,
chases it.
Hoping to catch it.
I come away
from the window,
And go sit on my bed.
I lay back,
and put my head on
my pillow,
and rest my head.
Soon after doing so,
I fall asleep,
drifting away
into a night
full of dreams.

A simple little scene of every day life, and yet it's so interesting to me. I can see what you're seeing, and I can feel what you're feeling. Strange, how poetry connects people through words. Lovely write sugar!
