a poem for myself

Topic:
oops
|
you leave me empty
in the wake of your silent seduction.
your nightly visits
wrap me in this cloak of shame.
when will you leave me,
oh demon in disguise?
when will i be free
of the succubi?
an instant of ingnobility.
i am revealed in my weakness.
succumbing to treason.
this moment of indecision.
As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.

I enjoyed this poem! Some of the word imagery made me giggle a little but that is because I am not used to it. I loved it! You have great vocabulary and punctuation. |
