Little LOst Child

A swell inside the world
Gave birth to this girl
A child of love and hate
Never early always late
Picking flowers in June
Humming her summer tune
Taking strolls by the moon
I think you know her name
Quietly the world goes by
Children in silly games cry
Her she just tires
To be perfect for you
Years turn into days
Older now no one plays
Her words children say
What happened long ago
Her colors are still there
Next to the empty rocking chair
All placed with loving care
I wonder where you are
Today a letter came
Addressed to her name
But she still plays the game
I know you’ll understand
Daddy is gone
But he wrote you this song
Please sing along
Soon we will all be home
