If Our Willow Tree Could Talk*

Contributed by Glo on Saturday, 27th September 2003 @ 12:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

If our Willow Tree could talk, all our secrets it would tell....................
For inside our Tree, our most intimate moments do dwell.
From the very moment we carved our names in our tree,
We both knew, I was meant for you, and you were meant for me.

This is our very special place that we could call our own.
To come and spend some quiet time, where we could be alone.
No one else knew of" Our Special Willow Tree,"
It belonged to you and I for all eternity.

That's where we had our first kiss, my heart felt so warm inside.
We would rap ourselves up in it's branches, to escape the world outside.
Why was this tree so Special, lets go on further, I'll explain...........
This tree that belonged to my love and I felt all our Joy, our Pain.

All the happy times we spent there, it's branches reached for the sky,
Proclaiming the honest love we have, together you and I.
But somehow Our Special Tree seemed to know when tears fell from our eyes
It's branches hung so low........as if to be crying too.
Is that what it means when the old folks say...."that a tree lives with you?"

Some may not believe it, but we know it's true,
Our Tree is full of all the love that flows through you and I.
For many years have passed us by, just like our tree,
Our love forever strong.
The branches or our Special Tree, still reaching for the skies.
Holding all our many secrets, to our everlasting love..................
As long as our names are on Our Tree, it will never die.

Silence is Truly Golden!
