I shared her world for so brief a time
Looking at what I'd seen before with new and opened eyes
Places I'd gazed on through many years
Awakened my senses like the dawning of a new day
I watched in wonder as she stopped, scooping up small pine cones
A deep warm smile as she held them , surveying their intricate form
Like a child in wonder of a new toy
excitedly holding them high in the air for me to see
As we climbed higher up the shaded paths
The calm on her face told me
she was safe in the peace of her dream
And yet like a princess wakened from her sleep
She was so free,so full of life
I could not help but be inspired , her energy eclipsing even the sun
She is as a bird here, in her magical place
Her spirit soars above the tallest tree,
swims in the cool of the glassy blue lake, holding my hand
she carries me along on the her journey.
High in the very tops of the trees
the rushing of the breeze echoes her name
The spray of the fountain,
its fine mist dancing on her face,
cannot dim the fire for life that beats in her heart
A gift more precious than any jewel, how lucky I am ,I'm truly blessed
To be a part of something so wonderful and pure.
So brief a time it seems we spent, together in that place
Light fades at the end of the day but memories still remain
I will never forget that perfect time, my life has changed for good
Her world is now my world, and always it will be.
