This hot July sky,
Brings tears to my eyes,
And then I realize,
That your really gone.
I walk slowly by,
I bide my time,
The last tear has been cried,
And I know it can't be wrong.
I smile for tomorrow,
The past can't be borrowed,
I'm done with my sorrow,
I'm tired of the same ol' song.
The past is over,
The past has been cut with a mower,
No more of feeling lower,
I've been waiting for this for so long.
You, I'll continue shunning,
A new song I am humming,
This I am finally overcoming,
And I'm happy your gone.
