O dolcissima Irlandesina
Pianti miei chiedermi,
“Cosa ti serve?”
Un bel sorriso,
O un’ardente amore
Di che ho bisogno
O carinissima Irlandesina
Tristi, miei pianti mi chieder
Cosa vuoi?
Dolcissimi baci
Da sue dolce labbre.
Prenda mi,
Lontano, e più lontano – via
Attraverso del mare
Sopra della luna
Irlandesina mia:
Come mi chiedono….

I love the sound of this... though I can't understand a word of it. I need to learn Italian someday. i love poetry in foreign languages. |

I've read yours aloud (with a bit of help from Jarmen Kell about pronunciation) and then read the original by Mekhled. It's a beautiful write, this one-and his. You're a star! |
