His Toys

Contributed by jeepngirl4x4 on Thursday, 25th September 2003 @ 08:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

He pulls us along by a string
like we are pull toys.
He makes us go up and down
like we are yo-yo's.
He winds us up to watch us go
like we are tops.
Doesn't he realize that we are not his toys-
we are girls with feelings?
We walk the line he wants us to walk
carefully trying not to cross the line.
When he wants to play
he takes one of us off the shelf.
When he's had enough
it's back on the shelf we go
Not to be played with again until he wants to.
He doesn't care that we have feelings and
that we will be hurt - 'cause he was upfront
from the beginning.
Don't get too close - he'll get mad.
Don't ask any questions - he'll tell you no lies.
Don't make him mad - he'll put you away -
and replace you with the next toy.
