:: Mama Drifts Away ::

Contributed by Chanti on Wednesday, 24th September 2003 @ 07:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Through the looking glass,
i see you and me,
fighting all the time,
its not how it used to be,

We always used to laugh,
youd be there when id cry,
but now it feels so dark,
almost like saying goodbye...

Now your drifting further,
and im drowning away,
screaming haunts my hollow heart,
carved inside, all the hurtful things i say,

And every word is torture,
and my every word is hate,
can we fix our friendship,
or is it too late,

I can hear you crying,
just from down the hall,
if i could take back one thing,
i would take it all,

from the very first moment,
that i first said,
i hate you momma,
i wish you were dead,

I can hear you crying,
just from down the hall,
if i could take back one thing,
i would take it all,

I miss knowing you love me,
i miss our conversations,
now all that i can feel for you,
is a dark, tainted frustration,

Theres so much that i wish i could tell you,
how i suddenly cant breathe,
and if you would tell me its all okay,
that is all i need,

its tearing me to pieces,
how im tearing you apart,
i wish i could erase this,
and still be in your heart,

I can hear you crying,
just from down the hall,
if i could take back one thing,
i would take it all,

from the very first moment,
that i first said,
i hate you momma,
i wish you were dead,

I can hear you crying,
just from down the hall,
if i could take back one thing,
i would take it all,

If i could take back one thing,

I would take it all.

Great poem, so many have said those words,
but few have put together a reply, "I am sorry". I liked this a great deal.

I HOPE YOU GAVE THIS SONG TO YOUR MOM.I KNOW ONE THING THAT CAN HELP YOU....ASK THE LORD TO CHANGE YOU.SEE THE REASON WHY I SAID THAT IS BECAUSE I READ A STORY ABOUT RUTH IN THE BIBLE OLD TESTAMENT...SHE LOVED HER MOTHER IN LAW..AND AT THE TIME I DIDNT LOVE MINE....SO I PRAYED LORD MAKE ME LIKE RUTH..I THOUGHT HE WOULD CHANGE HER...BUT I REALIZE HE HAD TO CHANGE ME...HE OPENED MY EYES TO THE THINGS OF LOVE AND FORGIVENESS AND WHEN ARGUMENTS COME DONT ARGUE WITH HER.LET HER MOUTH ALL SHE WANTS AND YOU SAY NOT ONE WORD..BUT SAY LORD HELP ME...ITS LIKE I TIE HIS HANDS HELPING ME IF I OPEN MY MOUTH..BUT WHEN I CLOSE IT HE MOVES IN...CAUSE HE SEES THAT IM TRYING TO BE A PEACEMAKER LIKE HE WANTS...PEACEMAKERS ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD.....WELL TIME PASSED BY AND TODAY I LOVE MY MOM AND LAW AND SHE LOVES MEEEEEEEE....GOD FORGIVES US ALL...WE FORGIVE OR HE WONT....YOU GO TELL YOUR MOM THIS SONG..AND YOU HUG HER...THEN LET IT GO....ALL WILL WORK OUT...I SEE IN YOUR HEART THAT YOU LOVE HER THRU THIS SONG...PUT IN PRETTY PAPER.LET HER OPEN IT...TAKES TWO....AS A MOM...I WISH I COULD TAKE BACK THINGS I SAID TO MY KIDS....WE ALL GO THROUGH THIS....JUST ASK FORGIVENESS AND BE FORGIVEN...LOVE YA....GOD LOVES YOU...
