Eternal Rose

Contributed by nigelangel1 on Tuesday, 23rd September 2003 @ 06:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Did you find the rosebud? I laid it by your side?
T'was still with dew, glistening
Pure red, as your lips
Delicate like your frame and hands

Did you find the rosebud? sent with my love?
So quiet, not to wake you
But I stood to see you sleep and dream
Yet there you had a tear
As you slept, slipped down your cheek
A small wet round on your pillow

Did you find the rosebud? Oh did you did you?
For that rosebud lay holding my true love
waiting for thee to touch, and take my love
To smell the sweet scent
To know I am in that rosebud
so small, so frail waiting

Did you find the rosebud? I know I laid it there?
My dear you slept, and turned
So pure, so sweet
Your breasts, there only for me to see
Your lips, relaxed, beauty in heaven

Did you find the rosebud? it was I who placed it?
I with tears of love, smiled
kissed that tiny flower
charged it full of feeling, my love, me
hoping, wishing, no..PRAYING that you will see

Did you find the rosebud? since one week now has past
I heard them say was broken heart
It took my life away
I'm standing here, amongst my kin
my frinds, oh, I see you there
Standing with the rest

Did you find the rosebud? but what's that in your hand?
the same, you hold, sent with my love
my tiny bloom, you touch, you kiss
It falls in my grave, you cry
they comort you, each holds you
helps you through

So you did, you found the rosebud
I go to god now, but I know
you found the thing I longed for most
I'll go and wait, for you my love
by heaven's gates

And when your time is here
I'll come to you, I'll hold you, kiss you
and give you that same rosebud
still with the dew, still wet with your teardrop

Then eternity will keep us
to love forever, never cry, not a tear
Just you, me, and our sweet red rose
