MORE THAN A DREAM

Contributed by ishow on Tuesday, 23rd September 2003 @ 04:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I Had A Dream
A Dream That Must Not Die
A Dream To Tell To The Children Of My Children
A Dream That Made Its Passion My Pain
A Dream That Stays Fresh In My Brains
A Dream That Unfolded Those Who Purchased Idle Tales
Just To Mislead People!
What My Eye Saw In This Dream
A Little Can My Mouth Give Expression To!
I Saw Some Undertakers Who Daily Buried The Hopes And
Aspirations Of The Common
They Lived To Throw Ridicule On Their Path
They So Much Lived In Deafness Of Both Ears That They
Heard No Deafning Sounds In Their World
A Wave Coverd Their Eyes So Much That They Saw No Clouds
Why Halting Between Right And Wrong?
O Why Rubbing Salt Into The Painful Wound If You Found
It No Where In Your Heart To Kill The Pain I Asked As
They Gave A Work To The Cockroach's Idle Hands At Thesame Time
Called The Fowl To Come Out For Special Delicious Food!
Who Pays The Piper Dictates The Tune They Say
Alas, Never Allowed HIM To Dictate Their Own Tune
It Was Soon Time They Rememberd That There's One Above All
Watching, Only Giving Us All The Freedom To Have Our Ways
For It All Shall Hit The Solid Rock Of End One Day That Returns Us To HIM!
O Suddenly Awake I Am! All I See Around Now Is All I Saw In My Dream
So It's More Than A Dream, O It's More Than A Dream!
Turn To Them In Digust, You Need To Storm Out Of Your Ways
To Be Real And Humanize For It All Often Makes You If You Don't Change
Perfidious, Ungrateful, Wretch!

Wow that was a great powerful write!
You woke up and found out your dream was out of sight!
I'm 66 and so I don't understand all your words, but it was sincere I know....
and I'm glad I could comment so!
Keep up the good work

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
