As you cry
I watch the tears fall from your beautiful blue eyes
And I
Stare despondently as my own tears suffocate within this pain
Fly
My baby, fly higher than anyone ever has before
Why,
I will never let you endure anguish like this
Cry
Out your hunger for the world beyond you
Whilst I
Withdraw from life into my own despair
Fly
Above those who appear so great
Why,
I can't hold you down, hold you in my arms forever
And I cry
Ecstatically watching you go from strength to strength
Whilst I
Shrivel into myself, yet exultant with your being
Fly
Among the sun, the moon
The brightest star
You are

I love the style of this poem. This, as all of your works, speaks of the emotional depths you go through to bring about such a beautiful poem.This is a job well done!!!

i love the structure of this, i know how hard it is to watch someone you love do so well and you're so happy for them but at the same time you can't have them because of it, ah, life stinks, but it can always get better, and you are an awesome writer, keep it up, luv ya bunches charlotte!
