Edward Scissorshands

Contributed by broken-glass on Tuesday, 23rd September 2003 @ 01:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Heart so warms, skin so cold,
blades so sharp, age so old.
Spidery hair, clothes so worn,
scars on face, pale and torn.
Ever felt neglected? Ever felt alone?
Ever felt insecure, you don't belong at home?
Some born without hands, some born without self esteem.
Some are left with scissors,
others with unreachable dreams.
We are all but a creation,
living in a Gothic mansion.
Some are better at fooling themselves,
some make do with what they have got.
My eyes left tearful,
cold stone, empty, living alone, misunderstood,
Eternily.

I loved that movie too, first time I saw Johnny Depp, and he's been my favourite actor ever since. This is a lovely poem, very sad and beautiful. Keep the ink flowing.

You are writing wonderful information here. Good advice for young and old.
Your poem was excellent, I've read it twice.
