Before It Rains It Pours

Contributed by jaeann on Monday, 22nd September 2003 @ 09:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Where do you go
with a mind full of puzzled answers
with only a broken question?

Where do you go
to release all the pent up fixations
of dreams in a world
you wish would go away?

Who do you talk to
when all you want them to do is
just listen for the tears
only they've forgotten how?

Who do you sit with
be held and comforted
when everyone is yelling
inside your head and out?

What do you say
when all they want to hear
is your silence
your hushed complicity?

What do you say
as evil wounds spew forth
when once before were only thoughts
as you stand there shocked?

How do you let loose
all the anger
while the smiles fade in the light?

How do you leave yourself behind
and still find all of you
amid the unanswered questions?

When do you find peace
understanding and comfort
in your world of stolen breath?

When will you speak
before you think or after
before you need to or never?

I wish a had a complete answer for you..walking in the rain always helps me but may not be for everyone.Just know you can talk to me anytime...I hear the tears..though at times they come as smiles ..a mask ;)
If you ever find the answers to these questions..pm me..Id like to know :)

wish I had the answers to that for you. But for myself as odd as it soudns I talk to myself, usually I get that least amount of arguments that way...lol... I find a spot in the woods or on the beach, really anywhere that I know it will just be me and mother nature, and I let it out, tho ive learned to have my conversations internally, oncee or twice I had passerbys that thought I was going nuts cus none of what i was saying made anysense untill I said it out loud.

you should try it sometime, even if i cant resolve anything i usually feel better afterwards.

Kali

Dear Jaymee,
One of the most important aspects of this poem, I think Jaymee is that you do have questions....that's great. When you are asleep you are apathetic.....not caring not knowing even where you are. But when you start quesioning then you will soon light up like a bright star! Answers come to each of in a different way, Jaymee...maybe something some will say...even your children, or maybe you'll read an artcle or even fhe news...but you will know Jaymee it was meant for you!
Keep searching and never stop asking those questions....without them you could never become you!

I liked this very well thought out and put together. I hope you find who or where you go soon because it sucks like hell being alone. I know what thats like. Good writing.

You go deep inside yourself......and ask the questions......and you'll get the answers you seek.Although the answers are never what we really want to hear. So,you go to someone who will listen and hear. Maybe a solid shoulder to lean on is in all these answers.
I *personally* go to God...He seems to have all the right answers for *me*.
Best of luck in your search....
Angel always...godspeed...joni
