Medication

They gave me so much medicine
some days I did not know my name
I thought I'd surely become addicted
and who so ever should I blame

Wake me up to get a pill
that made me go to sleep
A shot or two...now exercise
those muscles you wish to keep

This little pill will help you
to keep your breakfast down
Come on now...wake up honey
let me help you change your gown

Those "little" shots they give you
keep your feet way off the floor
How hard it is to learn to walk
as you drift right out the door

A flashback to the seventies
all those colors floating free
Did nothing for my memory
oh, is that a shot for me

Press that button...come on nurse
time for my medication
To be the perfect patient...ya know
takes lots of dedication

They sent me home to recuperate
and sent my pills home in a bag
To help me out a little more
they made me a great nametag

Feels this way at times....lol!

I know that anyone that has ever spent time in a hospital can associate with this and I, for one, most definitely can. Great job!!
