Deception
Deep-seated truths
Lightly sprinkled with lies
Yields a counterfeit
Which evil belies
Satans lie is so glorious
His deception so hard to see
The ‘”truth” as he spins
Sounds so much like liberty
He appeals to our vanities
The yearnings of our heart
Dulling the consciousness
That keeps good and evil apart
Twisting truth
He subtly dims the Light
All the time giving false assurances
Everything will be alright
Presenting “ his” truth
To hearts searching in pain
He appears to give comfort
With “truths” perverted and vain
“Aww humans”
He says with a smile
“ Promise them life without boundaries”
“ And in a little while”
“ They will believe”
“ Anything I say”
“ Though their hearts see Gods truth”
“ They will ignore it anyway”
“ Make it easy”
“ Make it seem right”
“And they will follow darkness”
“Believing it’s Light”
“ Just a little lie”
“ A little twisting of what’s true”
“ And before you know it”
“ You’ll believe me too !”
Russ

I have to really wonder who
will tell mere mortals what is true,
If evil looks good, does opposite look bad
If such the case, then I've been had.

I had always found it quite amazing how people found the dark better than the Light.
In suffering the right,it's easier to have the road of "easy".
If all the world could see the Light, and be awakened, maybe this wouldn't be such a bad place to dwell.
This is truly a passionate write of all the things we should grasp, and hold onto.
Angel always...godspeed...joni |
