The Line

Put me through heartache and pain
Why do we always have to play games?
We spend more time arguing about what to do
Instead of enjoying the time we spend together

The more and more I contemplate
I think I need to draw the line
Used, abused I feel; take me to the other side
Cared for, loved; that is where I want to be

People ask why I am still here
I honestly don’t know what to tell them
I get myself down, I pull myself up
But where are you to help me when I fall?

Everything I do, revolves around you
I feel like I live a life for you instead of myself
You want the stars; I’d give you the stars
You seem to want everything; everything except me

I don’t know what to do
Everyone has given me his or her piece
I try to listen; God knows I try to listen
Why am I so afraid?

The dark night won’t turn to a glorious morning
All my dreams have come true; except you

I can’t help but feel jealous when you’re with anyone else
I can’t bring myself to do that you; I will not hurt you

Is this how it’s supposed to be?
Me standing here alone looking back at you?

Take that chance
Step over the line…

What a great poem! Don't worry, I know that she feels the same way you do, how could she not? Just wait for her, she'll be with you soon.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
