Are you the one I saw in the dream,
In caring tones whisp'ring to me,
"I am the Light, follow me,"
Leading where the blind could see?
And are you the one who bought my soul,
Who by shedding blood made me whole?
Are yout he one by whose name the heavens were made?
Are you the one I have betrayed?

And will I find the strength to run
Away from becoming the wayward son?
Releasing self, and finding faith,
Reaching for the hand of grace,
Can I return? How my heart burns...

Are you the one upon the cross,
To whom Heaven was lost?
Are you the one who healed the lame?
Are the one who takes my shame?

And will I find the strength to run
Away from becoming the wayward son?
Releasing self, and finding faith,
Reaching for the hand of grace,
Can I return? How my heart burns...
I need strength.
