keeper of the castle

spikes of cruelty
pass for indifference
in sneering dark eyes
as the walls crumble
in dire need of loves restoration
condemning heartless visitors
from viewing open wounds
that need purging
of everything left
behind to fester
poisonous
retribution spewed
across the room
into tankards of lust
drunk down by boys
who assume to be men
in that hour
need is most rampant
and quenched by lush lips
until sleep comes drooling
in unfinished dreams
that will never be contented
until the walls are repaired
and the castle restored
