Alike

Topic: LovePoetry

Your soul is like mine,
Similar to an onion,
The deeper I peel the more I cry
The more I tell you the more I want to deny the amount of pain that still grows inside and is still alive in my soul,
The same pain that is only shown through the deepness of my eyes,
The eyes that easily cry over the unfortunates of this society and the teardrops that could easily be dried by love,
But the mistrust in lust that prevents even a romantic hug,
See you and I are alike in a numerous amounts of ways,
We have both felt love’s deadly rays but its time for us to rise above everything that might cause us pain and be together as one,
Whether it be as friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, because nothing can label what we feel inside,
Together through death and pain like Bonnie and Clyde and when the world is too much to face together we will hide day and night, night and day, in each others arms we will lay,
Knowing that together, we will always stay.

Wow, it's like you were inside my head... I relate to and understand every single word of this. Even the part about not being able to put a label on a relationship. I understand it so, so well. Wonderful write.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
