The Cold And Brittle Rain

Contributed by S_K_Williamson on Thursday, 18th September 2003 @ 03:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I find myself out walking
I love the forest tall
My mind is in pure motion
as the memories come to call
All the pain I once endured
I thought... now just a memory
Has come back for a visit
hauntingly... sets it's sights on me
I wander though the wooded lands
the trees protect me some
Pain has a way to penetrate
I feel it...yes...it has come
To ease my mind I wander
aimless... not caring where I go
while under clouds of agony
skies open their torrential flow
Arms up... I face the heavens
cry out to Him above...
Help me not to fall back down
let me continue to feel love
I know that He has heard my cries
perhaps...the answer's up to me
I will have to search my soul
to see what it could be
Until I find my answers
I will wander in my pain
The trees and I get wetter
from the cold and brittle rain
