Faked Fate

Contributed by alisialynn on Thursday, 18th September 2003 @ 08:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

The moon swept across the plain
Of my heart did swoon to crash on it.
I stood up and dusted off
Only to feel mad and shrugged off.

You did not answer my call that second time
Cumbersome. I cannot hold you any longer.
Heart heavy, mind thick. Breath fast. I’m sick

To my stomach and this moon, this colorless fat face that beckons me to run into the night,
I will not heed your call. I wait for him now
I hope for him now

Only he that can ease the pain, which hides behind my eyes. Daunting.
Calling out, Worship Me! Please Worship Me!
Follow me on my path
Ignoring your own
Run my bath,
Hold my hand,
Empathize with me and you can be mine, forever.

I fell into you. Quick and so sure
I fell into you. Only, to be shoved away
I will not forget you. My cure.
I will not forget you. The reason for my day.

Breath fast, heart heavy. I don’t cry because I feel empty. Don’t apologize, they are weak and dishonest.
They spread lies like venom and that are bleak and biased
And calloused and canvassed and I hate them.

Ok, bye. I’ll be seeing you. Don’t worry, I’m fine. I don’t need to feel you

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
