The Imagination

The Imagination

The imagination is a powerful thing,
I can a leader, a ruler, a king.

I could be the next President of the United States,
I could even be Cathy Bates.

I could be Michael Jackson living in Neverland,
I could be George Hamilton with his gorgeous tan.

I could be Bill Gates with his money to boat,
And if I wanted I could even be the loot.

I could be Barry Bonds hitting a homerun,
Or maybe just Prince Charles son.

I could be Madonna in her pointed bra,
Or a white Arsenio Hall.

I could be hollywoods Ben or Jen,
Or even Barbie or Ken.

I could be Jack The Ripper, the famous killer,
I could even be Phyllis Diller.

With your imagination you can be almost anyone,
Just make sure you’re you, when your dreaming is done.

You make a great point- we need to be ourselves, but we can image we're anyone! I love the different people you thought of- I really love the Ben and Jen, Barbie and Ken line! Great poem!
