Death descends upon
the apocalyptic battlefield
of the wastelands
The arbiter stands
the preordained master
of it all
A field of the fallen
surround him
And in his eyes
the terrifying intensity
of impending judgement
A righteous fury
gleaming white-hot like a cauldron
about to overflow
Movement seems pent up in him
like a tensed coil
about to spring
He is motion in stillness
the sum and summation of
all grace and purity
of purpose
An unnatural stillness follows
in his wake
The stillness of death
come too suddenly
And before him
the inevitable whispers
of fear
