I cried inside because I was sitting next to you.
You were driving me away more and more each day.
The silent treatments that you put me through,
There was noway that I could longer stay.
You saw what you were putting me through time and time again,
But you had grown cold toward me and did not care.
Then suddenly to someone else you showed that you were there.
You put me through so much despair, I was living in a nightmare.
Yes you killed me there for awhile,
But today I found out I wasn’t completely dead.
I have been and still am under trial,
And helplessly I can’t just drop dead.
You’ve made this scar in my heart,
It’s there whether you’re here or not,
You’re only hanging around to pick it apart,
But you don’t always succeed because of the blood clot.
Then after you got what you needed,
You left me with a fatal blow,
I was stuck while my heart bleeded,
You were once my friend but also my foe.
Now I’m going to leave things unspoken,
But I do want to say forever goodbye.
My heart I leave it, for it is broken,
But to anyone this I would deny.

| The people you care for the most are the ones that can hurt you the worst.Yet we only realize it too late to prevent it. Your words painful, but hopeful. This was a great poem. Hope that peace will find you. |

This poem really truly made me cry because I understand everything, and I mean everything that you are going through. I was recently raped and my best friend turned completly cold towards me. She didn't want to know me and she was not there for me at all. Now she won't talk to me, instead she is determined to make my life a living hell. I completly relate to this poem, it spoke right to my heart. Great write
