Cloud our minds with lies,
is that what you planned?
To tell us you're just fine,
and let the darkness expand?

You let it slip away,
like it didn't matter.
The night faded into day,
with aggression that grew stronger.

You wanted it forgotten,
you wanted to move on.
But we haven't forgotten,
that night still lives on.

Help us to understand,
help us to help you.
We want to do what we can,
but you make that hard to do.
