Fractured

Contributed by ravenblack_phoenix on Monday, 15th September 2003 @ 01:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Why do I bother trying?
When you don’t try at all.
Why is our relationship dying?
I bet you’re hoping it will fall...

There’s no more time for me,
Your biggest personal mistake,
And you don’t give anymore,
Because in your misconception all I do is take.
But Spirit, tell me why she can’t see...
I’m about to break...

You’re supposed to care,
You’re supposed to understand,
You’re supposed to love,
And you’re supposed to hold my hand...
This misconception is love....
But why?
Why can’t you see - all *you* really do is take,
You’re blinded by your misconception,
But you can’t see that I’m about to break...

I don’t need this *****,
Look me in the eye,
Now it’s the road I’m going to hit,
Because if I stay here, I’ll die...
I feel like a rat in a cage,
You keep taunting me,
And there’s no outlet for my rage,
But in the end, you’ll see...
All you do is take, and it’s causing me to break...

But you’re too dense for that,
I know you don’t give a crap,
See how much you like it when I’m not here anymore,
Even if you wont let me leave, I’ll find a way out,
No matter how...
I said I’m sorry for the pain I’ve caused you,
I said I’m sorry for being in your way,
I’m sorry for being such a burden,
How much more do you want me to say?
I’m such a problem, you know it’s true,
Then why won’t you let me leave,
Why wont you let me be rid of you?
Because you can’t see me, you can’t see my fracture,
You can’t see how this smile is manufactured,
And you can’t see the warm blood leaking from my cold heart...
That blood isn’t yours, your blood isn’t mine,
If you’d just let me go I know I’d be fine...
But you can’t see that all you do is take...
And that it’s because of you, that I’m about to break....

It is worded perfectly. Such an emotional draining poem, I absolutely loved it. Excellent write here. I wish for you to do whatever you need for you as you said in your poem your blood isn't his/hers its yours. Best wishes.

Emma.
