The sweet melody...
The soul’s remedy...
The gentle words....
The shattered...
Relinquish to the thunder..
Abandon to the sound....
Give in to the wonder...
Listen as your ears pound....
It’s so hard to bare
Your heart in my hands
Longing to caress it, do I dare?
Your so naked in my hands...
The soul wasn’t meant to heal,
Not after that,
And now it’s so hard to deal,
The skin is rotting black....
The sweet melody...
The soul’s remedy...
The gentle words....
The shattered...
Relinquish to the thunder..
Abandon to the sound....
Give in to the wonder...
Listen as your ears pound....
And it’s so hard to handle,
The world can’t see,
The little light you get from a flickering candle....
Don’t let it go out, though you long to breathe...
You’ve done nothing wrong, but the world wants you to suffer,
So you grow thicker skin, stronger, harder, tougher...
And now you can’t feel,
You can’t tell what’s real,
And now it’s so hard to deal...
Because the skin is rotting black...
The sweet melody...
The soul’s remedy...
The gentle words....
The shattered...
Relinquish to the thunder..
Abandon to the sound....
Give in to the wonder...
Listen as your ears pound....
The skin is rotting black...

this is excellent - the repetition is very effective and the language makes it seem almost lyrical. i've been waiting for you to post something new, i always enjoy reading your work. great imagery in this. keep them coming, Kate x |
