Falsifying Dreams

Sweat is damp upon my back
I kick the blankets off
Stare at the ceiling
Remember every color
Texture and feeling
That eager pleasure
Returns to heat my skin
Makes me restless and uneasy
Without anyplace to hide
From thoughts inside my head
My eyes trace your outline in the dark
You’re even breathing in and out
What secrets do you keep?
