I can almost taste the sunlight,
Wince at the first signs of twilight.
I’ve put everything I have into this,
Completely shattered all that exists.
Just breath they say,
Don't hide from dismay.
It will just suffocate,
Until the end of your fate.
Expectance is reluctance.
As if it was your sixth sense.
Treat it with some adoration,
Or it vanishes like a decent nation.
My Legs don't seem to comprehend,
The waves of necessity that I send.
To at least support myself upright.
When time passes, so does my might.
Exhaustion is all that remains.
Embedded into my skin, it stains.
Clinging on for eternity, and more.
It wonders what else it can store.
Alone and bewildered.
Before it made me shiver.
Now it is simply consoling.
Sedated due to all the controlling.

"Exhaustion is all that remains. Embedded into my skin, it stains." - Some really great uses of words. Great poem.
Emma.
