For Andra...

Contributed by AppleScruffs on Saturday, 13th September 2003 @ 06:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

I remember times
we spent together
laughing
and crying
and here I stand
on a Summer's day
that should be
spent on the beach.
Here I stand
clad in black
with memories
of the past.
I remember your smile
and the way
your head tossed back
when you laughed.
Now all there is
is a mahogany box
with hope left
at the bottom.
I can feel
your life
around me
and your face smiling
in the midsummer sky.
White balloons dance
in a soft afternoon breeze
and a kiss on the cheek
from and old friend.
I remember
late nights drinking sodas
and talking
about life.
And talking about life.
Life
which you had
a lust and charm for
and now these balloons
white
dancing across
a blue July sky
carry our prayers
for you
to their destination.
Sleep well dear friend
and remember you are loved.
Just remember that you
are always loved.

I can understand why this was difficult and you wrote it nicely. She was probably really glad to have such a caring friend as you, and her for you.
Keep your hopes up...
Love Emma.

This is a beautiful tribute to your friend....
I'm sure she appreciates it, she's probably
smiling down on you right now. Stay strong!
