Black anger coursed through my veins
My head pounded with the rhythm of revenge
A bitterness I would wreak upon those who left me writhing in pain
Who condemned me to insanity
Staying alive was a challenge
Coated in a film of feverish sweat
In plunged the venomous weapon
To quench my thirst---for blood
Disillusioned laughter escaped my lips
As I sunk deeper to the point of no return
