In My Secret Chamber

Contributed by ronald on Friday, 12th September 2003 @ 05:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Lying here on my bed,
Drowning my spirit here,
Into the deepest silence,
Getting lost, searching my soul,
Starting to feel the blues,
In the air of the night,
As I take a deep breath,
In my dark secret chamber,
Pondering, about my life,
Looking back, at my past...

And as I close my eyes,
I feel the void inside,
The vacuum of nothingness,
Taking hold,
Of my all...
Of my soul...
Of my whole being...

It is like yesterday,
The void was not there,
It is like yesterday,
The missing pieces,
Complete the puzzle...

And alas,
I have not a clue,
I have not a strategy,
I have not a plan,
For my cares to reach out,
To the missing one...

Oh, Lord, can't You see,
I am bearing all this truth,
Bearing all the prayers,
In the deepest depth of my heart,
Longing for some kind of return,
Right here...
Right now...
In my secret chamber...

Show me a way...
I pray...
I plead...
I implore...
Here...
In my secret... chamber...

Yeah, I know the feeling. Sometimes it feels like you've got everything you could ever want, yet there's still something missing spiritually...and you're looking for answers. Well, that's my interpretation of this poem anyway.

I like the way you used simple words, the description is simple to understand and that just makes the poem more meaningful. And I hope the Lord does hear you and answer your prayers.

I've felt this way so many times before. Like there was something missing and you really can't understand it. Very well writte.

Thanks for all your comments on my poems, I really appreciate it.

O friend, the Lord heard your prayer,
and to ye he sent 3 keys dear
4 Truths and 5 precepts and the Path to you,
The keys that will allow you into the sanctum.
