Torture Room (Fear)

Contributed by bobotheclown on Thursday, 15th August 2002 @ 07:08:55 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I am stuck in a dark room
Only ten by ten (10 x 10)
There's no breathing space
No ventilation
Tiny and dismal
I peer into the inky blackness,
But see nothing except
My growing fear

I hear a clanking sound
I scream as the walls close in
The trolls squat and ugly
Eyes peering out
From hollow heads
Turn the cranks
And my jail becomes smaller
As my fear becomes a living thing

The walls slowly come closer
Threatening to squash me
Like a bug
I let out a rendering screetch
As the trolls laugh - hideously
The walls turn my body
Into twisted shapes
Snapping my bones like twigs

Claustrophobic,
My brain numbed
By the chronic pain
Hunched over like a hobo
Crying on the stagnant floor
I knew my end was coming
The trolls cackling their glee
As my brain oozed onto the floor
