Should I?

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Thursday, 15th August 2002 @ 07:02:02 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I really do not understand
How you held so tightly to my hand

One minute you could not live without
The next I’m left here alone and full of doubt

I don’t know why you think I’m bad
But honestly my love you must be mad

What I have to give was never enough
How often do you think you’ll find true love

You will always be in this maze of mine
Watching over and talking to me all of the time

I wish we hadn’t just chucked it all in
This game we all play for once we could win

You knew from the start, I’m no normal guy
Unlike these players, to you I won’t lie

Maybe I should’ve in an effort to impress
Bought you things, like jewels, scent and dress

Should I have lied and said I like the same music
Taken your trust, your love and cruelly abused it

Should I have changed myself and gone out for meals
Should I have trusted my friends, do you know how this feels

All of the time I knew that I couldn’t
But you my love, you really shouldn’t

Have made me feel so insecure and paranoid
When from the start you had feelings for such a haemorrhoid!

Oh dear me! Is this what it's come down to?

Dean, this is a very good poem. I can tell you that women really do not like to be lied to, and most aren't impressed by materal things, and you should never change who you are. I think it is importany for some one to love you for who you are.

I won't change Candice,
I can't and don't want to imagine how I would go about re-learning a whole new set of life ground-rules kindly given to me by my Mum! I am so thankful to her for these.
I just wish... well you know all the wishes as well as I do!!

Thankyou Candice

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, I am not going to change who I am either. I like who I am. And beside if I am going to change for anyone it will be for my self not some guy.

Exactly right Candice,
People(the other sex) will have to be able to just simply accept us for being us!
Eventually someone will or they'd better anyway!! We are here for a reason after all!!Hehehe

With love
Dean;-)

That is true enough, Dean. I think that people should be accepted for who they are.
