Legend is
Cranes
are the poet's bird.
Beautiful long necks
streaching proudly
to the sky
not afraid to show
anything.
Even their heart.
Stepping ever so gracefuly
through blue waters
which ripple
through a poet's dream.
I wish that I had the pride
to streach to the sky
and confront the world
but here I sit
beneath my palm tree
seeking shelter
from the sun.
Sand falls
from my hands
yet every time I try
I cannot stop it
from falling
my heart
sinking
everytime I see
the giant bird
soaring
as I wish I could.
Take me
away.
Pull me
into the sun
into the placid waters
that I make make ripples
through your dreams.
That I may
inspire you
to Fly.
That you may see
how much love
a beach can hold.
Walk with me
through the sand so that
our footsteps
will ripple
through the dreams
of lovers
and friends.
That Great Birds may see
the appreciation
for their beauty
through the waters that hold
our dreams.
The Crane is the bird
of a poet
and so it may be
that such a beautiful creature
can inspire
so much.
Inspiration
is not something
that can be touched
and love
cannot be held
yet in the eyes
of a Great Bird
knowledge
seems to be found.
Inspire me
Dear Poet
that I may find
the understanding
the grace
the beauty and love
that you have found.
Take my hand
and lead me
down the beach
away
from he shade.

AppleScruffs,
I just love your writings! Just got done reading "Compredre" and I can't tell which one I like more, this or that! Your style of writing seems kinda like mine in a sense- I don't rhyme (I stink at it), and I chop up the words into little peices so that each one can stand out, making it's own impact. But you really can capture this style better than I can- your topics are so creative. I love how you compared a pool of water to dreams.
Beautiful work of art, and once again I say keep me posted on new stuff.
Love Joy and Peace,
Jellybellyprincess |
