At Last The End At Last.

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Thursday, 15th August 2002 @ 06:58:29 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Stuck there on that shelf
Feeling sorry for myself

Not allowed a happy life
One where I found my wife

Displeased with who they became
So I took myself out of the game

Apparently this made me a freak
So to others I would not speak

Then in the mirror all I could see
Was a reflection I didn’t want to be

Meaning well they said I’d find
An equal whose heart was kind

But this wasn’t going to happen
While stuck inside my prison

Nobody would understand
I needed to hold a hand

But no contact with skin was made
So into the darkness I simply fade

Never allowed the feeling of fun
What was the point in carrying on

Too abused my existence had been
No longer my reflection be seen

Sorry if you tried being kind
You never saw what was done to this mind

All I wanted from life was some love
Perhaps I might find if I look above

This dawns with my final weak breath
My abusers I reward with my death!

Very good poem, I feel like this poem was crying or yelling out for help. It gave me a chill.
Great job.

Wow, this really moved me! It also reminded me of a few things I'd chosen to forget. Abusers rarely feel guilt and they certainly don't deserve reward. Although you may feel lonely at times, there is always light at the end of the tunnel......if you chose to see it! The catch is that you have to make it there on your own and for yourself cos despite what you may think or how you feel, you ARE worth it! Once there, love will find you
